Accessibility



The accessibility is the access to information without any limitation for impairment, disability or handicap. There are many people who come to the information in our pages from very different contexts to our own, because:

  • They may have trouble hearing, vision or mobility.
  • May experience difficulty reading or understanding.
  • Maybe they can't use the keyboard or mouse.
  • May have a text reader, a small screen or a slow connection.
  • and so on.

Accessibility is not only for people with disabilities, but also improves access to the web in general.

To this end, our accessibility guidelines are:

The Website of USE-IT tries to meet at least the level of AA or AAA for most of its contents that are defined by the rules WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Spanish legislation of UNE 139803:2004 from AENOR.

Font size

Accessible PDF

This website is designed to be as accessible as possible and to be compatible with the specific type of technology to adapt to people with disabilities, including screen readers.

We recommend users to download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat to view PDF files of Abode:

  • Reading aloud to Adobe PDF files using the "text to voice" of the operating system standard.
  • It allows more control on the use of screen readers.

Users who use the screen reader, have a link at the top of the code by named 'Skip to content' which enables skip the navigation bar of the website and go directly to the content.

The contents and features of the website are accessible via the keyboard for those who do not make use of the mouse.

This site uses style sheets (CSS) to control the structure and colors of the website. Therefore, people who use their own style sheets can enjoy the content of the website itself.

The web pages also work for those users who have JavaScript disabled in their browsers.
