BIOGRAPHY

He began his career with a Physical Sciences degree at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) and later with a Computer Engineering degree at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). He continued his career with a Master in Artificial Intelligence at the University of California in Los Ángeles (UCLA).

Researcher of IBM's staff from 1987 until 1997. Assessor and scientific reviser of European programs (ESPRIT, ESSI, ITDC, etc.) from 1991. He has collaborated in the development of several computer commercial applications.

Secretary of the Escuela Politécnica Superior during 1999/2000, Assistant director of professorship from 2000 to 2004 and Director from 2004 to 2008.
Main researcher and collaborator in several projects, emphatically in Intelligent Environments (Environmental Intelligence) and in Web tools for the Knowledge Management.

He belongs to the department of Computer Engineering at the UAM. He teaches in this department from 1993.
